CSA Strawberry Social

What:
Our annual CSA Strawberry Social is back! Join us for a day of berry picking, farm tours, live music, food, kid's games and a local vendor market.

A few things to note:

  • We ask members to follow MN Dept of Health Guidelines for COVID. If you have any symptoms, please do not attend.

  • Free U-Pick is for CSA Members only with a 2 quart limit per family.

  • Non-CSA Member adult guests may pick berries but will be charged $5.00/quart with a 2 quart limit. Please bring cash if paying for berries.

  • All children are free.

  • We'll provide quart containers for picking.

  • Enjoy the sweet musical sounds of Cafe Melange, 11am-2pm. Brian and Sheralyn perform an eclectic variety of music on the guitar and mandolin - from classic Americana to French, Italian, Latin, and more.

  • Enjoy interactive kids' activities at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum kids' tent!  Folks from the MMAM will be leading a marker mirror board activity for all ages and abilities!

  • Stop by our face-painting table to get your own face paint art for the day!

  • Learn about what makes our fields unique for farming from Professor of Soil, Water and Climate Nic Jelinski. Nic will lead two presentations on soil and natural history.

  • Farmer Jack will be holding a few field wagon tours of our new high tunnels and surrounding fields.

  • Enjoy a self-guided walking tour of the farm to learn about what makes Featherstone work day to day.

  • We will provide free strawberry shortcake, lemonade and water for drinking.

  • Lunch will be available for purchase or feel free to bring your own lunch and snacks. $7/plate for a brat with fixings, Featherstone kale salad and chips. Cash only.

  • There will be shade and rain protection, if needed, inside our open air warehouse and greenhouses.

  • Port-o-potties will be available for bathroom needs.

  • Please leave pets at home for food safety purposes.

Directions to the Farm:
Please don't follow Google maps as they will give you the wrong information
From I-90 take the exit for MN-43 S to Rushford. Go south for about 10 miles until you get to the town of Rushford. Go just beyond the stop sign, and at the intersection of Hwy 43 and 16, head west (right) on 16. After about a mile go north (right) on Cooperative Way. Then take your first right on City Park Road. The farm is at the end of the road! Please park along City Park Road.
